Music video

Context

This music video was created for BCee (Spearhead Records) as the title track for his album Come and Join Us. The project came from an established creative relationship, with a broad brief that allowed full conceptual and visual development of the piece. A conceptual music video exploring themes of surveillance, control, and perception.

Motion design was used to build atmospheric, narrative-driven environments inspired by cinematic references.

Approach

I developed the concept and visual direction independently, drawing from thematic references including dystopian narrative structures and cinematic science fiction influences. The work explored ideas of observation, communication, and unknown presence, translated into a motion-led visual language built around atmosphere, pacing, and abstract narrative progression.

The entire production process — from concept development through to final animation — was handled end-to-end, with a focus on aligning visual rhythm tightly with the structure and emotional arc of the music.

Result

The final music video delivered a cohesive narrative-driven visual interpretation of the track, combining atmospheric motion design with structured storytelling.

The project was well received by BCee and went on to be nominated for Best Music Video at the 2015 Drum & Bass Music Awards.
