Context

This was a non-client experimental music video developed from previously created motion assets that had been left unused.

The project began as a technical exploration of new software and workflows, which later evolved into a conceptual visual piece inspired by cinematic manga and futuristic animated worlds.

The aim was to reframe existing assets into a cohesive visual narrative system, exploring atmosphere, scale, and world-building through motion.

Approach

I revisited and reworked existing 3D and motion assets, using them as the foundation for a new visual environment.

The focus was on building a cinematic, atmospheric world inspired by dystopian and futuristic animation styles, using lighting, composition, and pacing to create a sense of depth and narrative ambiguity. Rather than following a linear storyline, the piece was structured around mood, spatial progression, and visual rhythm, allowing the environment itself to carry the narrative.

Result

The final piece delivered an atmospheric, world-driven experimental animation that transformed leftover assets into a cohesive cinematic visual experience.It explored how existing motion resources can be recontextualised into narrative environments through composition, lighting, and editing.
