Context
This project was a high-energy advertising campaign for KA Drinks, developed with FMLY CRTV to promote a new range of soft drinks through a vibrant, social-first visual approach.
The campaign combined live-action footage with integrated 2D motion graphics, designed to enhance the energy, flavour, and personality of the brand.
The challenge was to merge real-world filming with animated elements in a way that felt seamless, expressive, and visually cohesive.
Approach
I worked on integrating 2D motion design and visual effects into the live-action footage to amplify the energy and visual impact of the campaign.
The approach focused on layering illustrated elements into real environments without disrupting the authenticity of the footage, instead enhancing it with rhythm, colour, and motion.
Careful attention was given to timing, compositing, and visual balance to ensure the animation felt embedded within the scene rather than applied on top of it.
The result was a hybrid visual style that combined physical filming with expressive motion design to elevate the product’s personality.
Result
The final campaign delivered a bold, playful advertisement that fused live-action and animation into a cohesive and energetic visual experience.
