Natural Building systems
Explainer / Product system animation
Context
This project was an explainer animation for a sustainable modular building system, designed to communicate how the system is assembled, functions, and adapts across different configurations.
The source material was highly technical, including CAD data and architectural specifications, requiring translation into a clear, visually understandable motion system. The challenge was to communicate structural complexity in a way that felt accessible, accurate, and visually engaging.
Approach
I worked on converting CAD-based architectural data into detailed 3D models, ensuring accuracy in structure, proportion, and material representation. Once built, the models were textured and lit to reflect real-world finishes and construction properties, helping ground the system in a believable visual environment.
The animation was then designed to clearly demonstrate assembly, modularity, and functional flexibility, using motion to guide the viewer through each stage of the system.
The focus throughout was clarity ensuring that complex structural relationships could be understood intuitively through movement and sequencing.
Result
The final series of animations successfully communicated a complex modular building system in a clear and accessible way.
It helped translate technical architectural data into a visually engaging explainer that demonstrated both functionality and sustainability in a structured, easy-to-understand format.
